From time to time, we have the opportunity to get reacquainted with EHCS alumni. We love to catch up on what they are doing now, and it’s always interesting to see how God has used East Hill in their lives.
We’ve decided to post a handful of these stories for the sake of alumni who frequent this site, to give prospective students an idea of where an East Hill education can take them, and to encourage current students to see the “big picture” of how God moves students to accomplish great things for Him and through Him.

Lisa Clark Oakes
Lisa graduated from The Baptist College of Florida with a B.S. in Christian Education & Elementary Education. She is employed with East Hill Christian School in Pensacola, FL as an elementary teacher. She has taught K5 and is currently teaching 4th grade. Lisa is married to Johnathan Oakes and they are expecting their first child in April, 2010.

Dr. Jessica Clubbs Ewert
Jessica graduated Magna Cum Laude from Baylor University in Waco, TX. She attended medical school at the University Of South Florida College Of Medicine in Tampa, FL and completed her residency training at Florida State University’s Pediatric Residency Program at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL. She has joined the practice of Pensacola Pediatrics, P.A. (Cordova Office) and will be serving pediatric patients at Baptist Hospitals and Sacred Heart Health Systems in Pensacola, FL.

C.W. Clarke
C.W. graduated from Bellhaven with a degree in Biology. While at Bellhaven, he also played basketball for three years. After graduation, he worked as a biologist for Marine Resources in Biloxi, Mississippi for two years. When Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, he began a year of volunteering. For the past two years, he has been living in New Bedford, Massachusetts working as a fishery observer.
Ashley DeBardeleben
Ashley received a BA in English with Minors in Spanish and Education from Covenant College in Tennessee. She has been working in the staffing industry for the past 5 years and has been with Randstad for the last 3 years.
Stephanie Frank Striepeck
Stephanie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tennessee’s Vanderbilt University with a BS in Elementary Ed/Deaf Ed. She then moved to Atlanta, Georgia and served as the National Representative for the Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders until September 2005. She married Lt. Bill Striepeck and they currently live in Oak Harbor, Washington. Stephanie also has a Masters Degree in Business Administration/Healthcare Administration. Currently, she is a cheerleading coach, owns a Mary Kay business, works as a Nanny, serves as Secretary of the Officer’s Spouses Club of Whidbey Island, and is the Operations Director of her church.
Jeff Fulton
Jeff graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S./B.A. Degree in Marketing and a Minor in Hospitality Management. He lives in Orlando, Florida and is a National Marketing Representative for Dynetech Corporation.
Ron Jackson
Ron earned a Bachelor’s degree in Wireless Engineering and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University. His wife, Kristen, and he live in Melbourne, Florida and they are both engineers for Harris Corporation. They are members of First Baptist Church in Melbourne.
Amalia Peters Amadee
Amalia went to Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee where she majored in biology. She also played on the Volleyball Team. She graduated from Nursing School at Chattanooga State in Chattanooga, Tennessee and is currently a labor and delivery nurse. She married Joey Amadee and they reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her husband has his own business, Nuversion Solutions, and does media work with Summit Ministries.
Amanda Rigsby Conner
Mandy graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama with a BA in Communication Studies. In college, she was Vice President of Phi Mu sorority and also served as a Step Sing Director. Mandy has a M.A. in Health Communications and received her graduate certificate in Health Care Ethics in the summer of 2007. She worked in the Development and Communications Department for Covenant Hospice in Pensacola, Florida and served as a Cheer Coach with East Hill Christian School for a season. She married Lt. James Conner of the United States Coast Guard and they reside in San Carlos, California where he is a rescue helicopter pilot at Air Station San Francisco. Mandy is currently working in the Quality Department at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Redwood City, California. She and her husband are leaders in the “20’s Group” at their church and Mandy is active in the Junior League of Palo Alto Mid Peninsula.

Casey Nelson
Casey graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2006 with a degree in Systems Engineering. He is a 1st Lt. with the United States Marine Corps and is based at MCAS Miramar in San Diego, CA. He is in HMM-163 "Evil Eyes" squadron and flies the CH-46E Sea Knight Helicopter.
Kisron Niles
Kisron graduated in 2008 from the University of West Florida with a B.S. in Engineering Technology. He is employed by Missile Defense Agency contractor Millennium Engineering and Integration located in Colorado Springs, CO as a systems administrator. He is also currently working on his Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Brent graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from the University of West Florida. He went on to become a Registered Nurse where he was Valedictorian of his Nursing Class. He is employed with Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. Brent is married to Rachel Harrison - Class of 2003.
Sara Clark Conner
Sara graduated from Troy University with a B.S. in Psychology. Her primary interest is in Marriage & Family Therapy. She is married to Lt. John Conner and they are expecting their first child in March, 2010. They live in Jacksonville, FL.
Katie Fulton Bond
Katie has a B.S. in Health Services Administration and is working in Medical Administration at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C. She is married to Allen Bond. Katie is also the Women’s Varsity Crew Coach at American University in D.C.
Casey Furney McKinnon
Casey married Bryce McKinnon and is living in Atmore, AL. They are expecting their first child in January, 2010. She is a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital in Mobile, AL.
Jeff Gibson
Jeff graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors with a B.S. in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida. He will receive his Masters of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Florida in December, 2009. He is employed as a civilian computer engineer for the Department of Defense/U.S. Air Force. Jeff will marry Jessica Golden in April, 2010.
Megan Hamilton Hays
Megan is married to Nathan Hays and lives in Pensacola. She is an Orthodontic Assistant for Dr. Randy Rigsby.
Matthew Pohlmann
Matt received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida in 2006. He earned a Masters of Accountancy from the University of West Florida in 2007. Matt is a CPA and Senior Associate with PriceWaterhouseCooper, the second largest international accounting firm. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia and will marry Penny Story in May, 2010.

Sarah graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, AL in 2009 with a BA in Classics. She married Doug Clapp on July 10, 2010 and they currently reside in Birmingham where she is a teacher at Westminster Classical School. She teaches Latin to middle and high school students. She also coaches Tennis. Sarah and Doug attend Red Mountain Church in Birmingham.

Jennifer, a National Merit Scholar, attends St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. She received the Bly Award at the Phi Beta Kappa Delta of Minnesota spring initiation banquet in Spring, 2009. The Bly Award is awarded to the top three students in the Junior class at St. Olaf College.

Parker Barriball
Parker is at Florida State University working on a double major in International Affairs and Chinese. He will graduate in May, 2011. He serves on FSU’s Student Justice Board and the Greek Justice Board. He was recently awarded an International Programs Scholarship to study in China in the Summer of 2010.

Spencer attends Central Christian College in McPherson, Kansas where he plays on the Varsity Baseball Team. He is majoring in Small Business Management and plans to graduate in 2012.
