EHCS Alumni

I am deeply grateful to have attended East Hill Christian School from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The quality education taught from a Biblical worldview equipped me to enter the world of STEM academics, pursue a career in engineering, and “keep the faith” through all life’s ups and downs. Many of my closest friendships started at East Hill and have continued for decades, and I can even call former teachers great friends today. The impact they had on my life and faith cannot be overstated, and it’s my prayer that East Hill continues to equip the next generation to be lights in this world. Go Eagles!

– Jeff Gibson, Class of 2002

For sixty-five years, East Hill Christian School has endeavored to produce Christ-like students who influence their communities through service and excellence. We are so proud of those who have moved out of our halls and into spaces and places where their theological convictions shape their work.

If you are a member of the East Hill Christian alumni community, we would love to hear from you and find out where life’s journey has taken you. Please take a moment to tell us a little more about that journey here.

“Looking back on my time at East Hill Christian School there is one word that comes to mind – Foundation. From Preschool through 12thgrade the teachers, administration, and coaches helped me develop a strong foundation in academics, but most important, a strong foundation built on faith in Jesus Christ. The teachers and coaches at East Hill considered their job a calling and made personal investments in the students. I was never the best student, but through the mentoring and teaching of the faculty at East Hill, I graduated prepared for college and for the career path God had in store for me. An added bonus from my time at East Hill was the strong Christian friendships I had through graduation. I had strong Christian friends who held me accountable and encouraged me to live a godly life. I am thankful that my parents gave me the opportunity to be educated at East Hill Christian School.”

“I certainly wouldn’t be where I am today without the education and opportunities provided to me during my time at East Hill. The quality of the teaching at EHCS is on par with, if not better, than much of what I’ve experienced at the undergraduate and graduate level. Not only are East Hill’s teachers knowledgeable, but they are also incredibly caring and clearly want their students to achieve success at the highest level. The leadership opportunities that East Hill allowed me during high school, from conferences to student organizations to athletics, helped mold me into the man I am today. East Hill has built such an amazing culture that I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of. I feel so blessed to have been able to go to a school where my aspirations were encouraged, all within a Christian learning environment.”

“The thing that sticks with me the most about my experience at East Hill is what great teachers I had. They modeled what it’s like to study the word, to live out their calling with conviction, and to have a passion for excellence in their subject matter. East Hill more than adequately prepared me for difficult college courses, but more importantly it prepared me for the real world and how to live out my faith. I was never just a number because East Hill was a smaller school in the best way. Almost 20 years later I am able to keep up with several of those teachers who still encourage me to this day. It was definitely a great middle school and high school experience for me.”

“East Hill will always have a special place in my life. It was at East Hill where I asked Jesus into my heart in kindergarten with Mrs. Overman, where I formed and cemented friendships that have withstood the test of time, and where wise teachers and advisors guided me to establish a worldview that is centered on Christ. I attended East Hill from K3 through high school graduation, and, upon entering college at a mid-sized private (and very liberal) university, I felt well prepared to engage academically, socially, and athletically, and I can thank my experience at East Hill for this preparation. During my adult life, I’ve returned on several occasions to serve East Hill via coaching and continue to enjoy watching the school shape young men and women for Jesus.”
